Learn to Play Magic: The Gathering (Beginner Session)

Looking to learn Magic: The Gathering but not sure where to start? Our beginner-friendly Learn to Play Magic sessions are the perfect introduction to the world’s most popular trading card game.

Whether you’re completely new or returning after a break, our team will guide you step-by-step in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

What to Expect

In this introductory session, you’ll learn the core rules of Magic: The Gathering, including:

• How a turn works (phases and flow of the game)
• Casting spells and managing your mana
• How combat works and how to win
• How to start building your first deck

You’ll then play a guided game using beginner-friendly decks, with support from our team throughout.

We’ll also help you understand:

• Which Magic products are good for beginners
• How to get started with decks and formats
• Which in-store events are best for new players

Session Details

• Length: 1 hour and 30 minutes
• Group size: 1–4 players
• Price: £7.50 per person
