The Hammerfall Classic
Join us for The Hammerfall Classic, a one-day Blood Bowl tournament hosted at Mythic Tabletop Games in the heart of Winchester. Whether you're a seasoned coach or looking to test your skills against new opponents, this event promises a full day of competitive Blood Bowl, great sportsmanship, and a fantastic community atmosphere.

Tournament Format
The Hammerfall Classic uses a Swiss-style resurrection format, ensuring every coach plays three competitive games throughout the day. Team development does not carry over between rounds, allowing each match to be decided on coaching skill rather than accumulated advantages.
Scoring
Tournament points are awarded as follows:
- Win: 50 points
- Draw: 20 points
- Loss: 0 points
Bonus points can also be earned for on-pitch performance:
- +1 point per touchdown scored (maximum 3)
- +1 point per casualty caused (maximum 3)
If players finish level on points, rankings will be determined by strength of schedule, net touchdowns and casualties, win ratio, and finally team tier.
Event Schedule
The day begins with registration at 9:00am before three rounds of Blood Bowl action.
- 09:00 – Registration and setup
- 09:45 – 12:00 – Round 1
- 12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch
- 13:00 – 15:15 – Round 2
- 15:30 – 17:45 – Round 3
- 18:00 – Awards presentation
Team Building
Teams are built to TV 1150 and follow a tiered skill package system designed to encourage a wide variety of races.
Each tier receives a different number of skill selections, with lower-tier teams receiving additional support to help balance the field. Certain tiers may also access secondary skills and star players as detailed in the event pack.
A selection of inducements is permitted, including Bribes, Wandering Apothecaries, Riotous Rookies, Halfling Master Chefs, and more. Coaches may also assign two primary skills to a single standard roster player, and there is no elite skill cap.
Roster Submission
Once your place has been confirmed and payment received, you'll be asked to complete your team roster using the official Hammerfall Classic roster template.
Coaches are encouraged to submit their rosters at least one week before the event to allow the Tournament Organiser time to review and verify them.
Models & Painting Requirements
All teams must be fully painted with a minimum of three colours and based. Third-party miniatures are welcome, provided it is always clear to your opponent which player each model represents.
Skills should be clearly marked using skill rings, coloured bands, stickers, or similar indicators. Player numbering should match the submitted roster, and all positionals and star players must be easily identifiable.
What to Bring
Coaches should bring everything required to play their games, including:
- Blood Bowl pitch and dugouts
- Templates
- 3 Block Dice
- 2 D6
- 1 D8
- 1 D16
Please agree with your opponent before each game what constitutes a cocked die and ensure any non-standard dice are clearly explained.
Rules & FAQ
Unless Games Workshop releases an official FAQ within two weeks of the event, the tournament will use the latest NAF recommended FAQ and rulings.
