Forging the Mythic Path Ahead - Grand Opening update...

First, a big thank you to everyone who has come along, chatted, played and joined in since we opened. Our Grand Opening feels like yesterday, yet in just over two weeks we’ve met so many brilliant people and gathered an incredible amount of insight and inspiration. Thanks to you, we’re shaping Mythic into exactly what we hoped it would become: a cosy community hub and a well-stocked armoury for all your questing wares.

Community feedback - Board Game library, products, special events

You’ve given us so much to think about! Loads of great ideas for the Library, requests for new products and event nights like Blood on the Clocktower and more - the ideas have been flowing faster than a critical hit. We’ve started a list and we're speaking with suppliers, watch this space!

Event nights and themes

A big thank you to everyone who voted with a pentagram. It was very useful to chat to everyone and get your feedback. Based on your input, here’s the draft plan for Mythic’s future weekly events - these are still a work in progress. Not everything is live yet, but we wanted to share what we’re planning so you can see how things are taking shape. We’ll make announcements as soon as they officially launch:

Monday - closed (until we can get more Mythic Team members!)

Tuesday day - Table bookings: bring your own games or select from our Board Game Library
Tuesday evening - Dungeons & Dragons. Initially we will try to pair up new groups to quest together with experienced Dungeon Masters.

Wednesday day - Table bookings: bring your own games or select from our Board Game Library
Wednesday evening - Mid week Magic: The Gathering & established D&D/TTRPG groups

Thursday day - Table bookings: bring your own games or select from our Board Game Library
Thursday evening - Warhammer Night. A dedicated space to play with fellow gamers. Initially we will try 500-1000 point games and will get feedback from players to shape the space (terrain, tables, events etc.). Will also look to begin a Kill Team league.

Friday day - Table bookings: bring your own games or select from our Board Game Library. Also Friday afternoon Magic the Gathering for all ages, this will also involve pre-releases and drafts.
Friday evening - Magic: The Gathering events, pre-releases, drafts, commander and more

Saturday day - Yu-Gi-Oh! Event morning/afternoon initially casual games to meet new players, then will start pre-releases and events.
Saturday evening - Table bookings: bring your own games or select from our Board Game Library

Sunday day - New weekly event where we will trial new games, have starter workshops and find new players, on the cards are Star Wars, One Piece, Gundan, Pokemon, Disney , painting & Warhammer workshops and more.

Connecting the Realm

To help everyone connect and find new players, we’ll soon be launching both a Mythic Tabletop Games Community Discord server and a physical noticeboard in store. Whether you’re seeking a new party for Dungeons & Dragons, a rival in Warhammer, or just someone who shares your love of Catan or Monopoly, these will make it easier than ever to plan games and meet fellow adventurers.

We can’t thank you enough. Every chat, suggestion, and game has helped us forge this path together. The Mythic community is already proving to be something special, and we can’t wait to see how it continues to grow.
